About the Role
The Social Media Manager leads the social strategy for Beard of Hope Inc and finds ways to represent the organization’s brand across a multitude of social media channels. Reporting to the VP of Growth Marketing, the Social Media Manager is also responsible for leading interactions on social channels, keeping supporters and other influencers engaged, working to drive interactions across all platforms. You may be asked to jump in front of the camera from time-to-time as well, but you’ll primarily manage the strategy and those on the social media team. You will manage all main social media platforms for Beard of Hope Inc, which entails moderating all live interactions, finding opportunities to engage others (scheduling lives, reaching out to podcasts, engaging other influencers to co-host, etc.), managing followers (clearing out bots, deleted accounts and such)
Requirements
Curate and manage monthly content calendar and working with various members of the content team to ensure that content is consistent with what is being produced for broadcast programming and linear partnerships
Create and curate content and distributing it via a variety of social channels, in collaboration with relevant influencers’ (Fan Capt, Players, Coaches, ambassadors, micro influencers) social channels that will help tell the narrative of the FCSE sports.
Lead the strategy to maintain our brand voice in content created including writing and publishing blog posts, on-video pieces, social polls, etc
Interacting with supporters through Beard of Hope Inc social channels, website, email, etc with a goal of curating a highly engaged community of supporters
Analyzing data around social media engagement and site visitation to optimize the content we create and the way we communicate with Supporters
Lead social media team meetings
Experience
Preferred experience on-camera experience with an entertainment, sports or media organization
Demonstrated ability to create content that is appealing to a wide variety of audiences, and demonstrated growth of audience as a result of that engaging content
Prior experience personally and professionally using Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube with a strong existing presence
Any certifications in platforms or experience going through learning modules such as Twitter Flight School, etc. are a plus
Knowledgeable in various scheduling or content planning tools/platforms
Knowledge and Interest in the mental health advocate industry
Prior people management experience
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and independently
